London, UK – 21st November 2023 – The Game Music Foundation is excited to announce the fifth edition of the universally acclaimed Game Music Festival has sold out in record time. On 4th May 2024, Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall will host a celebration of video game music with two live concerts featuring music from The Last of Us and Baldur’s Gate 3 to a packed house of videogame music fans.

Additionally, an educational programme scheduled for the same day will allow music enthusiasts and aspiring composers to join masterclasses, panel discussions, and provide an opportunity to meet the brilliant minds behind the featured soundtracks. Game Music Festival 2024 will begin with The Sounds of the Fireflies, a musical journey through the unforgiving yet hopeful world of The Last of Us. With 80 awards, over 17 million copies sold and the TV adaptation being HBO Max’s most-watched project in history, both parts of Naughty Dog’s masterpiece left a strong imprint in the hearts of gamers all over the world. BAFTA-nominated original scores, composed by Oscar-winning guitar virtuoso Gustavo Santaolalla perfectly resonate with the emotional landscape of the game. STYLY Brings Air Race X to the Streets of Tokyo Using AR

London, UK, 18th July 2023 – STYLY, the XR metaverse platform created by Psychic VR Lab Co. is excited to collaborate with AIR RACE X. AIR RACE X is the next generation of motorsports, establishing an unprecedented innovative competition format and spectator style through a new racing format that combines actual flight with the latest digital technology.

Pilots will fly real airplanes at locations around the world and race for the fastest time in a remote format. Spectators can watch the pilots’ flights remotely up close via augmented reality (AR) technology.

This format is called “digital rounds” and consists of round-robin qualifying held over six days and a final tournament held over one day.

A total of eight air race pilots, including Yoshihide Muroya of Japan, Matt Hall of Australia, and Pete McLeod of Canada, will compete in this memorable world-first event, and the final tournament will be held on 15th October 2023 (Sunday) in Shibuya. A centre place of Japanese culture.

In the Digital Round, competition data is generated by collecting and analyzing ultra-high-precision flight data from pilots flying in various locations around the world. It is then uploaded online. The competition data is then turned into a visual representation using augmented reality (AR) technology. On the day of the finals, the pilots will be able to watch their flights in the streets of Shibuya, offering a new way to enjoy motorsports.

This new style of spectating offered by AIR RACE X is made possible by the advanced technology of the real metaverse platform “STYLY”.

By holding up an XR device or smartphone running the “STYLY” application, spectators can watch the race planes fly through the streets of Shibuya as if it were happening right before their eyes. The race will also be broadcast online to the entire world, allowing visitors to enjoy the excitement of the race via live video streaming, just as they have done in previous air races.

Taking place on May 20 and 21, aspiring pros and Fortnite enthusiasts from the UK and EU will have the chance to prove their skills in the hopes of taking on top Fortnite talent from across the world live at Edinburgh’s McEwan Hall on the 10th of June.

Here are the key details fans need to know:

Red Bull Contested Open Qualifiers registrations are now open, offering aspiring pros and Fortnite players a unique opportunity to compete against the best Fortnite talent from around the world.

UK players can register now at: https://wls.ac/RedBullContestedEUQualifier
The UK Open Qualifiers will occur on May 20th, 2023.
The EU Open Qualifiers will follow on May 21st, 2023.
UK players are eligible to apply for the UK Open Qualifiers. Please note that any EU applications from UK residents will not be considered.
The Open Qualifiers will consist of four games for the EU and the UK, each accommodating 100 players. As spots are limited, fans should make sure to secure their place early!

CRANBURY, N.J. —Oct 12, 2022 — IHSE USA today announced it will exhibit at NAB Show New York, booth 920, Oct. 19-20 at the Javits Center. As the leading solutions provider for high- performance KVM systems, the company will focus its product presentations on market segments ranging from high-frame-rate (HFR) eSports extenders to low-cost KVM desktop solutions that support up to four computers with single, dual, triple, quad, or even five displays for each computer connected to the switch. Also on deck for the show is the company’s new 4K-over-IP extenders offered through the kvm-tec product line.

“Along with the addition of kvm-tec’s video-over-IP products, it’s been an action-packed, product-rich year for the company. To continue that streak at NAB New York, IHSE USA is looking forward to connect with even more customers,” said Dan Holland, sales and product marketing at IHSE USA. “Attendees will see many of the award-winning KVM, video extension, and management solutions announced this year as well as the eSports HFR extenders with SSFRC technology simultaneously supporting 240Hz and 60Hz video transmission.”

As a leading provider of extenders for eSports gaming computers, IHSE has developed a line of HFR extenders supporting transports of up to 240Hz while simultaneously supporting 60Hz. Video production must provide low latency and HFRs for the gamers’ computers while producing audience previews in standard 1080p/60. IHSE solved the dual transport problem with the introduction of Synchronized Sequential Frame Rate Conversion (SSFRC) technology available in its draco ultra series of DisplayPort and HDMI extenders. SSFRC technology combines HFR computer actions and broadcast transmission workflows into one extender system. Not only does this simplify the onsite infrastructure but it also ensures that the same content is available everywhere at a pristine quality level that greatly enhances the overall impact of the event and enjoyment of viewers.
The Draco DPS 4X1 KVM desktop series switches can be customized to support single-head, dual-head, triple-head, or quad-head computer systems. Starting with a base DisplayPort four-input, single-head package, up to 4K60 can be supported. The DPS 4X1 base unit is a standard two-slot desktop chassis with support for USB-HID, USB 2.0, and optional audio connections for up to four computers to a single DisplayPort monitor. When more displays are added, users can expand the switch with the 4X1 video expansion card using IHSE USA’s standard six-slot chassis. All DPS 4X1 cards fit in any IHSE USA frame type and integrate with any IHSE USA KVM systems.

On display will be kvm-tec’s Scalable line supporting networked multiviewer capabilities. Unique features include the ability to control four computer sources up to 120km away simultaneously via one keyboard and mouse. By simply moving the mouse cursor to the edge of each quadrant, operators have full control of the source. The control software allows a full range of KVM extenders from kvm-tec to be added via a typical KVM-over-IP (KVMoIP) network design. Where more than four computers are on the KVMoIP network, the software allows users to select any one of the sources and assign it to a quadrant on the display.

Finally, IHSE will introduce the Draco tera FLEX series of secure KVM matrix systems at the show. From the company’s basic 16-port in 1RU to the larger 160-port in 4RU, FLEX provides huge time savings for system installers who normally must pre-configure network ports as inputs or outputs. No matter the connectivity requirements, the FLEX can accommodate any need. Systems are available with either copper or fiber connections. For systems needing a mixture of fiber and copper, FLEX-HYBRID frames are offered.

Nations pinnacle event to take place from 20 to 22 August in Copenhagen

As with all upcoming events, FIFA will continue to monitor the global health situation and any potential impact on the safety of participants and staff.

The pinnacle of 2v2 national FIFA esports is almost upon us: the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021™ group stage draw is complete. 24 countries from across the world are coming to Copenhagen in August to compete on the world’s biggest stage for competitive national team EA SPORTS FIFA™ and with the draw finalised, they will now know who they will be facing off against in their first matches.

National pride and one of the most desired titles of the year are on the line as players will represent their nations in a highly competitive field of national teams. 60 nations participated in the FIFAe Nations Series™, but only 24 will pit off against their rivals in Copenhagen to fight for their ultimate goal: Winning the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021™ for their country.

Member associations from all around the world participated as the FIFAe Nations Series 2021™ kicked off at a domestic level, with each country selecting their most skilled players to compete in the FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers™, where they went head-to-head in their respective regions in the hopes of securing one of the 24 spots at the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021™.

Those qualified have been drawn into four groups of six – each member association will be playing each other in a round-robin format – with the top four of each group qualifying for the single-elimination knockout stage played in a best-of-three format. Over the tournament duration, all matchups are played across both consoles, with each game being a 2vs2. The 24 nations are each represented by three players, with one player as a substitute.

With the FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers 2021™ finishing last month, the search to crown the ultimate national team in FIFA esports comes ever closer as we finally get a look at what matchups will be taking place at the group stage of the tournament.

With three countries from South America, two from North & Central America, five from Asia & Oceania, two from the Middle East & Africa and 12 countries from Europe, including the host nation Denmark, here is the group stage draw in full:

Reigning champions France will look to retain its title from their inaugural win in 2019 with a new-look line-up this year of Amine ‘Mino’ Boughanmi, Leandro ‘Peixoto’ Peixoto and Vincent ‘Vinch’ Hoffmann as they face off against England, Sweden, and Mexico.

The host nation Denmark, who are automatically qualified, will look to please the home fans as they will take on nations such as Qatar and Italy, whilst winners of the South America Online Qualifiers Brazil have mouth-watering ties against Portugal and Saudi Arabia.

In front of millions of fans across the world watching online, these countries will go head-to-head for one of the biggest titles in competitive FIFA and a share of the total USD 400,000 prize pool, in addition to the USD 100,000 already distributed throughout the qualification process.

The FIFAe Nations Cup 2021™ provides a global stage where nations are represented by the best domestic players who can fly their flag for their country’s pride and community.
