Nigeria’s leading full service ESports organization, the Lagos ESports Forum (LESF) has been admitted as one of the latest members of the prestigious Global Esports Federation (GEF) whose headquarters is in Singapore.
Speaking on this landmark development, Founder and CEO of the LESF, Sayo Owolabi, a Sports media and Marketing expert described the Global Esports Federation as the most unique body when it comes to promoting, supporting and developing ESports globally and being a member affords the LESF an opportunity to make local impact on the Nigerian ESports ecosystem through global influence.
The Lagos ESports Forum (LESF) was founded in March 2020 with a mission to Educate, Engage and Empower enthusiasts and Stakeholders within the ESports ecosystem in Nigeria and Africa at large and the membership of the GEF allows the LESF to contribute to the #worldconnected values and initiatives of the GEF.
The LESF currently organizes the monthly ESports Education series, ESports Conversation which features esteemed Speakers/panelists from across the world and also Nigeria’s premier mobile ESports competition, The Mobile Game Tournament with the second edition set to begin October 4, 2020.
The Global Esports Federation (GEF) was founded in December 2019 with Board members having vast experience and background in Sports Administration, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Finance and other thriving sectors. In its 9 months of existence the GEF has over 60 members and has forged several Strategic Partnerships that position it as a leading movement in the development of ESports globally.
