Malibu, CA – The Interstate Esports Alliance (ISEA), a nationwide coalition of educator-run scholastic esports organizations serving students and schools in the K-12 space, and FITGMR, Inc., developer of the first app specifically made to address the cognitive and physical demands of gaming and esports, have entered a first-of-its-kind partnership for the purpose of creating healthy student gamers. 40,000 High School students in the multi-state alliance – a number that is expected to multiply as the sport of gaming becomes more prevalent and structured within school programs, will have access to the FITGMR app
FITGMR training promotes optimal cognitive performance, emotional balance during and outside the game, endurance during play, and longevity. Coaches and educators will be able to guide students’ progress with the FITGMR Team Dashboard. The dashboard visually displays player and team metrics so coaches, managers, educators, and parents can monitor and mentor players in the five pillars of health and game readiness, providing powerful constructive guidance to their student players.
Kristin Anderson, CEO of FITGMR stated, “This partnership with ISEA is the embodiment of everything we stand for as a company. Our mission is to create fit gamers because fit gamers play, compete and live better. We want to change the stereotype of an unhealthy gamer and improve the longevity and performance of esports athletes. There is a powerful link between the body and the brain. The FITGMR fitness and wellness training is designed specifically for cognitive performance. By developing healthy habits, high school gamers will not only improve the way they play their games, but the way they live their lives.”
“The Interstate Scholastic Esports Alliance is thrilled to partner with FITGMR to offer this opportunity to our member organizations. We know how important the health of the whole student is and this will give our coaches and schools the tools to really engage with full-student wellness. We look forward to further collaboration with our partners on supporting our students,” stated Alene Vandermyde, President of ISEA
