MALIBU, California—FITGMR is excited to announce its partnership with Harrisburg University and their Esports Program.
FITGMR is building a 400-level course on leadership development in gaming and esports. The course will focus on teaching the next generation of professionals the skills necessary to be effective, healthy leaders in any area of the gaming industry that they want to go, whether that be coaching, IGL’s, GM, or in business. Working together, Harrisburg University and FITGMR will ensure students are prepared to be leaders who will sustain and grow the esports industry.
Landon Gorbenko, FITGMR’s Mental Conditioning Director and Coach is creating the curriculum with the academic staff at Harrisburg University. He is a lifelong gamer who fell in love with the science of expertise development. He has a B.Sc. in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Performance Psychology and now specializes in training elite-level esports athletes to be both healthy and high-performing. “We are extremely privileged and humbled to announce this partnership. Harrisburg has established themselves as a leader in both competitive and academic esports development and we are thrilled to work with them as they expand their best-in-class program.”

Harrisburg University is one of the only colleges in the world to offer a Bachelor of Science in Esports Management, Production and Performance. Students enrolled in the program will gain real world, hands-on experience by working with collegiate teams and professional Esports organizations in industry event venues.The program combines three of Harrisburg University’s strengths – business administration, interactive media and technology integration – to build an industry pipeline for the next generation of Esports decision-makers in management, production entrepreneurship and innovation.
