DOTX TALENT COMBATS ESPORTS AGENCY CONFLICTS OF INTEREST WITH PLAYER TRANSFER SERVICE
New Option Makes Professional Support Accessible to More Players
LONDON, ENGLAND—DotX Talent, the esports and gaming agency founded by Morgan Sports Law, has announced the launch of a new player transfer service from the 1st of June.
Players who wish to use the service can engage DotX to negotiate a playing contract or transfer, without the commitment of a long-term agreement. The service will cost £600 (inc. VAT), plus an amount equivalent to 5% of the player’s annual salary, and can be paid for in instalments.
The service is designed to avoid the conflicts of interest that are becoming increasingly common in agencies operating in esports, and make expert support more accessible to players at what can be a vulnerable time in their careers. It is available to professionals competing in any esports title, worldwide.
“Conflicts of interest are everywhere in esports, including in agencies. Agencies which represent both teams and players for their commercial deals, are also negotiating the players’ contracts. The larger independent agencies are representing multiple players competing for the same places in the top leagues.” said Nick Williams, Managing Director of DotX and a Barrister at Morgan Sports Law.
“This service is intended to avoid those conflicts by providing short-term targeted support solely around a transfer or contract renewal. Morgan Sports Law has a rich history of protecting player rights, and this service from DotX will help extend that to more esports players.”
