London, UK: Rix.GG, a British esports organisation, has expanded its roster after signing StormtroopersRL for its newly announced Rocket League team to play in RLCS X.
The Rix.GG Rocket League team will next compete in the RLCS Season X – Fall: Europe Regional Event 3, starting on September 24th and concluding on September 27th, with a prize pool of $100,000 USD.
The roster consists of two UK players Jack “ApparentlyJack” Benton – who recently finished Top 4 in The Salt Mine 2 EU (1v1 Tournament) – and Dan “Polar” Rees, having won UK tournaments including a triple back-to-back run at EpicLAN 26, 27, and 28. Rounding off the team is Italian player Lorenzo “Dead-Monster” Tongiorgi, a very highly regarded player in the 1v1 scene placing Top 6 in The Salt Mine 2 EU.
The Rix.GG Rocket League Team Manager will be Ibrahim Taylor, who brings a wealth of esports experience to the table. The team’s success alongside its youth are key factors behind Rix.GG’s decision to get involved in Rocket League, especially considering the team recently placed 6th-7th in the Fusion EU tournament.
Dan “Polar” Rees, said: “It has been a motivating and thrilling first few months as a roster where we have pushed against all odds and created some fantastic results. We are ecstatic to have been given the opportunity with Rix.GG and are all looking forward to a bright future with them. We aim to be contending with some of the best teams in the EU and continuing our journey in RLCS.”
Ibrahim Taylor, team manager, said: “I am very pleased to announce the signing of these incredibly talented players into the Rix GG organisation. They have proven their capability and skills on numerous occasions and they now look to make the jump into the upper echelon of competitive Rocket League. Competing in the RLCS is one of the toughest things to do due to its high skill ceiling and demanding fixture schedule. As an organisation, we will be doing everything in our power to support these players and ensure they can perform to their peak. Expect to see them at the very top of EU Rocket League very soon and without a doubt competing for various titles and accolades.”
Jamie Lewis, founder of Rix.GG, said: “I’m blown away by the talent we’ve been able to bring into Rix.GG over the past few weeks. This latest addition is a significant step to our commitment to grassroots esports but also shows our willingness to compete at the highest possible level. Jack, Dan, and Lorenzo are all incredibly talented, and we’re extremely proud to have them on our team.”
This is the second esports team Rix.GG has signed since the organisation launched in late July.
